May is another beautiful month. The flowers are beginning to bloom, and the weather is finally warming up. The air smells fresh and clean. Spring is all about new beginnings - new attitudes, goals, and habits. Spring is also a time for internal cleansing because the liver throws off its waste into your system. It is a natural occurrence that cannot be avoided. Your liver works tirelessly to keep your system clean and is such a vital organ to nurture all year long. If it is out of whack, it can wreak havoc on your skin and your immune system. 

So many people reach out to me and complain about their skin breaking out, being red, irritated, lackluster, thin, and aging prematurely. The only way to get around this is to be consistent with your daily skincare routine. If you use my skincare product line, you will have consistently beautiful skin. However, for people not using it, you will most likely skip around from product line to product line in search of elusive results. Don’t give up - this is the perfect line to use. It is just as important to pay attention to your skin from the inside and use a great skincare line. On March 28th, I began a healthy version of the keto diet. It is a lifestyle change that I desperately needed. I love to cook and bake for family and friends and love its challenge. During Covid lockdown, I wanted to perfect the art of making sourdough bread, and I finally did. I am so proud of this, but those days are OVER for me. No matter how small my portions were, I still packed on the pounds. Since March 28th, I have lost 20 lbs. I have a long way to go, but at least I am heading in the right direction. Since I cut out the carbs and wine and began the practice of intermittent fasting, I noticed a positive change in my skin too. After drinking wine, my skin would be a little red. But since I gave that up, my energy levels improved, and I now sleep like a baby. 

Since the springtime anatomically is all about the health of your liver, it is best to eat dark green leafy vegetables, and carrots, drink dandelion tea and eat as clean as you can. By caring for your liver, you can even see the whites of your eyes become brighter, making you look younger. 

The liver also breaks down the fat you consume from your food, and it is responsible for producing bile, which is then stored in the gall bladder. It is worthwhile to love and care for your liver. You will be happy when you are older. Sometimes we take our health for granted. You never know when something is around the corner, so it is best to be attentive to your body from the inside out.
