Try this Natural, Holistic Anti-Aging Skincare Routine

The Susan Ciminelli Anti-Aging Solution - How to Turn Back the Clock Through Healthy, Organic Skincare From the Inside-Out.

After decades of research, formulating solutions, and experience that comes with helping countless clients, I can tell you with complete confidence that you don’t have to settle for looking old and tired on the outside. I’m about to tell you what you can do using a two-pronged approach starting right now to slow the signs of aging and rejuvenate your skin for a fresher, younger, more supple appearance.

As a long-time beauty consultant to famous celebrities, supermodels, and elite performers who make a living in front of the camera and in the public eye, I have successfully battled the problem of premature aging and know how to prevent, stop, and reverse it.

Looking younger means creating the kind of holistic self-care routine that creates the conditions in your body that produce a younger look along with more energy, vitality, and happiness. Follow this advice to start seeing a difference quickly so that looking in the mirror lifts your spirits and gives you something to smile about.

You Can Look Younger Naturally, Starting from the Inside Out.

Maturity is supposed to be a gift. For many of us, however, the passage of time can seem more like a punishment when one day we look in the mirror and discover that we appear years older than our real age. The truth is that time is not the biggest cause of premature aging on your skin. Dietary factors, environmental factors - even grooming habits - can exacerbate the onset of lines, wrinkles, or bags and dark circles under your eyes.

In my book, ‘The Ciminelli Solution - A 7-Day Plan for Radiant Skin,’ I zealously promote changing your eating and drinking habits as the first primary step in your skincare routine. Most people fail to remember that the skin is an organ of the body. The condition of your skin on its external surface reflects the overall state of your body’s health.

This is important because when clients come to me and hear my diet advice but ignore it, all that does is force them to spend money repeatedly on a problem that will not go away without some good, healthy sacrifice. When people come to me seeking to regain a youthful appearance, I tell them,

“Beauty comes at a price, and the price is taking better care of yourself.”

What you eat matters. I like to say to my clients that I can pretty much read their eating and drinking habits on their faces. When I see signs of premature aging, it’s a clear indicator to me that they need to make some simple, easy adjustments to what they eat, when they eat, what they drink, and when they drink. Here are some suggestions to slow down the effects of time and rejuvenate your skin one delicious bite at a time.

Start with your Dietary Habits - Eat Fresh, Clean, and Organic.

Toxins in many of today’s so-called ‘food’ brands are a major cause behind the signs of premature aging on your skin.

It is a sad fact that in today’s large grocery stores, you can walk down several aisles side by side filled with products, none of which are natural, wholesome, or organic. The chemicals and compounds combined with the manufacturing processes involved in the making of these kinds of inorganic products are bad for your body, which means they inevitably affect the appearance of the skin. When skin looks bad because of an unhealthy diet, the parts of your body you cannot see also suffer.

Stop putting highly-processed, unnatural, inorganic trash foods full of saturated fats, excess salt, white flour, and refined sugars into your system. Change your approach so that you consume lots more fresh, organic, healthy options (especially things that grow fresh from the ground).

Begin the process of slowing down the clock on premature aging by eating what the body actually loves:

  • Clean and lean protein.
  • Wild fish and game. Stay away from anything pumped full of antibiotics, hormones or that has been captured or slaughtered cruelly in a way that negatively affects the meat. Organic meat (grass-fed, free-range, etc.) is best.

  • Fresh vegetables (both above-ground and below-ground grown).

  • Seeds and nuts.

  • Low glycemic berries.

  • Eat naturally colorful and water-friendly foods (greens, oranges, reds, all the beautiful indicators of healthy nutrition).

  • Seaweed. Being very rich in minerals and calcium, seaweed can be used in soup, salad, or in making sushi.

Avoid anything your research shows might involve chemical pesticides, added hormones, unhealthy or questionable preservatives, bleaching, and other processes that put your health at risk and leech what would otherwise be a healthy nutrition profile from the product.

For example, white rice is not as healthy as brown rice. Potato chips are a nutritional disaster compared to organically grown and harvested potatoes.

Make Fresh, Clean Water Your Drink of Choice.

When your skin is well-hydrated, it looks better, and you feel better. As far as liquids you ingest, you need to cut back on drinking alcohol, and you will be so much better off if you eliminate soda entirely (regular or diet). You should remove other artificially-colored and flavored concoctions from your daily menu. There is no redeeming value in soft drinks or energy drinks, and alcohol dehydrates your body, hence your skin.

Replace the ‘snack drinking’ habit with good, clean water. Filtered water is better than tap water.

Drink fresh, filtered water throughout your busy day at a rate of at least one-half ounce for every pound you weigh.

For example, if you weigh 130 pounds, your skin will hydrate rapidly with a new habit of drinking at least 65 ounces of good clean water daily. A 200-pound person needs a minimum of 100 ounces of water daily to properly hydrate the body, which equates to well-hydrated skin.

By turning away from an over-processed, unwholesome, chemical-laden diet and toward organic, fresh, delicious natural foods free from pesticides and other contaminants, you bring the assault against your body to a halt and give it the nutrients it needs to repair and rejuvenate itself. As a result, you invigorate your skin with new life and vitality.

Develop Healthy Sleep Habits and Routines to Reduce Stress.

A good sleep habit that leaves you well-rested each day is of paramount importance. Getting proper rest helps reduce stress, skin breakouts, and other surface signs of internal neglect. When combined with hydration and organic, healthy nutrition,  the healing power of healing sleep brings your body into balanced harmony that shows on your skin.

Consider learning relaxation techniques, affirmations, deep breathing techniques, or even meditation practices that will aid you in calming your central nervous system to keep stress levels low and find an easier path to restful sleep.

Pamper yourself with long, relaxing, luxurious skincare baths (I recommend 45 minutes a day whenever possible) with my Algae Fine Powder plus my Calming Bath solution added to it, bringing you into a state of relaxation that is similar to the effects of meditation. This is self-care that beautifies both the body and the mind.

Younger-looking, healthy, beautiful skin is not just about covering up imperfections. Burying signs of early aging on your skin does nothing to solve the problem and certainly does not address the underlying causes. To start making a turnaround so that your skin appearance changes for the better, you need to begin within - with what you put in your body. Also, there are behavioral habits that can contribute to the early onset of an aging appearance.

External Factors to Change for a Younger-Looking Appearance.

Consider changing any of the following skin-damaging habits if you want to stop premature aging:

  • Stop cooking your face and body, damaging your skin through the use of scaldingly hot water that you can barely tolerate. Applying such abuse to your skin not only damages its surface but also affects the musculature underneath. Wash with warm water instead, and when you rinse, do so with cool water and always use a fresh, clean towel to gently pat dry.

  • Stop relying on abrasive skin treatments, harsh chemicals, or skin-damaging techniques that claim to help even though what they really do is abuse the top layers of your epidermis. This means removing acids, alcohol, mineral oils, and paraffin-laced products from your skincare routine.
  • Stop eating on the run. Proper digestion is critical to body health and the full extraction of nutrients necessary for healthy-looking, vibrant skin. Allow yourself a moment to step out of ‘fight or flight’ mode, slow down, and thoroughly chew every bite. First, you’ll enjoy it more.

Second, you’ll be satisfied faster and less likely to overeat. Third, taking time to nourish yourself in a peaceful state of mind helps relax and energize you. Also, do not eat after 8:00 PM to give your stomach the time needed for digestion.

  • If you smoke, whether it's cigarettes or cigars, then you must do whatever it takes to stop. The science proving the harm smoking does is inarguable, as are the yellowing and aging effects it has on the skin.

  • Avoid excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation, second-hand smoke, and other environmental contamination harmful to both your body and skin.

Skincare Ritual for Slowing Down, Stopping, and Reversing the Signs of Aging Skin.

The most effective way to start the day’s anti-aging skincare routine is with a proper cleanse using my Susan Ciminelli Cleansing Gel.

  1. After a thorough cleansing using either the Pore Minimizing Cleanser, Bamboo Ginger Scrub, Cleansing Gel, or Algae Deep Cleanse, rinse with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Next, put some of either the Sea Clay Mask or Pore Minimizing Mask in the palm of your hand.

  3. Add a few sprays of Seawater to it to reinforce the nourishing effect of the mask. Mix well.

  4. Apply all over your face, avoiding your eye area and your neck. However, if you tend to break out around your neck area, then make sure to cover the breakout areas. Let it dry for about 15 minutes.

  5. Rinse well with cool water and then remove the remainder of the mask with a warm damp washcloth.

  6. Next, follow the steps with the Trilogy for your skin type, the combination of which consists of my Oil Control Formula, Marine Lotion, Seawater, and the Power C Moisturizer. Your skin will be beaming. These two masks increase your skin’s circulation, which is very rejuvenating and healthy.

  7. If you are already older and have mature skin, the best mask to use after cleansing with my Cleansing Milk is the Hydrating Gel Mask. This mask is a skin quencher.

  8. Apply all over the face and neck. Leave it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and then finish off with a warm, damp washcloth.

  9. Follow with either the Hydrating Formula or Sensitive Skin Formula, Marine Lotion, Seawater, and then one of my moisturizers, and lastly, the Eye and Wrinkle Cream

You are now armed with more than enough knowledge and a list of the perfect beauty products to begin your journey to a younger-looking, healthier skin complexion. By fixing the root causes of prematurely aging skin, such as diet, environment, and personal habits, you can look forward once again to seeing yourself in the mirror, plus you will feel so much better overall. This approach has worked for thousands of clients, so you can start with confidence.
