Gut Health and the Quality of your Skin

I cannot tell you how many times clients ask me about how to prevent breakouts once they have occurred. My products are great for helping heal them quickly, but I think the focus should also be on your gut health. Especially because gut health is also associated with cognitive diseases, cancer, diabetes, depression, arthritis, and so much more.

Why does your gut health need to be tended to? It is easily thrown out of whack from your diet choices, alcohol consumption, sugar, antibiotics, even the time of day that you eat.

It is all laid out in my book, "The Ciminelli Solution, a 7 Day Plan for Radiant Skin", but here is a synopsis of what your focus should be on.

Avoid processed foods, sugar, alcohol (moderation is ok) eating after 8:00 at night, eating too quickly (your body is in the 'fight flight stage, rather than the rest and digest stage) After 8:00 at night, your digestive organs take a break and don't work for the rest of the day.

Best to eat as many fresh  and organic vegetables in season as possible, and balance it between above ground grown and below ground grown, or root veggies. Also, make sure your plate is full of colorful foods. Foods with a lot of color are particularly good for your health and wellness, and that means your skin's  health as well. The natural pigments in the food actually help fight certain diseases.

Cows, chickens, pigs, and farmed fish are fed anti-biotics. This means that their flesh or meat, and even the dairy from the cows treated, will have the residual drugs in their system, and this is ultimately transferred to you as a result of this.

I know how important it is for the focus to be internal, as apposed to external care when it comes to break outs, rashes, and inflammatory conditions. When I was growing up in a crazy, stressful tiny home full of kids and exhausted parents, mealtime was never, ever relaxing, as it should be. This contributed to my serious skin rashes, yeast imbalance, constipation, anxiety and stress levels. This was a blessing because it started me on my path to search for answers for my health and wellness. It lead me to Edgar Cayce, a profit from a very long time ago who taught the importance of gut health as a prevention and a cure for a lot that ails you.   It is never too late to start your health and wellness journey. It is something you should share with family, friends and colleagues a like. People need to wake up and take their health and wellness into their own hands.

I am sure you have seen the millions of commercials on television for drugs to treat all kinds of inflammatory conditions, with the side effects being more dangerous than the original condition. Wake up! If you make the right health and wellness choices when you go food shopping, you can avoid the inevitable. Change your destiny. All it takes is a few weeks of correct eating and drinking to help you start to change your pathway to long lasting health.  It does get easier as time goes on. And your reward is beauty too.
